From Prompt to Production: Engineering with GitHub Copilot
GitHub Copilot started as an AI pair programmer, but AI-assisted development has moved far beyond code completion. In this session, we'll explore how GitHub Copilot is evolving into an agentic development platform. We'll move from everyday Copilot usage to autonomous coding agents, parallel development sessions, MCP servers, custom agents, skills, canvases, automations, and the GitHub Copilot App. We'll then look at Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec Kit: how specifications, planning, tasks, and implementation can become an executable workflow for AI coding agents. The goal is not to show a collection of AI tricks, but to understand how these capabilities fit together and what they mean for the way developers design, implement, review, and ship software.
